Greedy Genius Biography

From day one, our objective with Greedy Genius has been unmistakably clear: we set out to revolutionize the footwear market by developing a rebellious independent sneaker lifestyle brand unlike any other. Armed with this vision, the four of us came together in 2005 to create Greedy Genius.

As perfect pieces to a puzzle, each one of us came to the table having previously contributed to the growth and development of various apparel and footwear companies; this inevitably gave us the necessary preparation to launch our own project. Interestingly, we all hail from different corners of the globe—The U.S., Africa. Asia and Europe. We quickly discovered that our diverse cultural identities would become instrumental in shaping the overall concept for the brand. Despite the difference in our nationalities, we are unified in our passion and enthusiasm for many of the same things: music, fashion, technology and travel. Ultimately, all of these elements have contributed to the creation of what can be described as a distinctly Greedy Genius esthetic. As customers looking for the best in what products have to offer, we have had countless conversations dissecting the technical and finer creative points of what elements would be necessary to build the “ultimate brand.”

For our first Greedy Genius collection in Fall 06, we developed an assortment of sneakers that represented the synergy between a structurally classic shoe model, brought to life with luxurious modern embellishments.
When we launched the brand, we really had no idea if the world would be receptive to our offering. Today, we are amazed that the success of the brand continues to exceed our most ambitious expectations. In our first year, we have established Greedy Genius as a force to be reckoned with, one that has swiftly taken its place among the most revered sneaker brands in the world.

In the coming year, we plan to develop Greedy Genius into a full-fledged lifestyle brand, one that will encompass footwear, apparel, watches, eyewear and toys. Stay tuned....
